“The shadows you face tonight are not obstacles, but gateways. Step through, claim your fire, and rise into the fullness of your own power.”

On October 6, the sky brings a Full Moon blazing in Aries — bold, unfiltered, and impossible to ignore. Full Moons are always moments of illumination, when emotions rise and truths surface, but this one carries an even sharper edge. It doesn’t just highlight what’s working; it exposes the raw truth of what must be released. This lunation asks us to get real with ourselves, to confront the parts of our story we’ve outgrown, and to stand face-to-face with the shadows we can no longer deny.
Six months ago, the final solar eclipse in Aries closed out a two-year cycle of eclipses along the Aries–Libra axis. That cycle reshaped how we see ourselves (Aries) and how we show up in relationships (Libra). But those eclipses were not isolated events — they were preparation. They carved out space within us for the long-term transformations of Saturn and Neptune entering Aries, where they will remain for years to come.
Saturn demands structure, discipline, and accountability, while Neptune dissolves illusions and awakens spiritual vision. Together in Aries, they will redefine what it means to claim “I am.”
This Full Moon circles back as a checkpoint: What did those eclipses reveal about your independence, your boundaries, and your sense of self? Where are you still clinging to outdated patterns, and what are you ready to burn away in order to step into this new era?
To understand why this lunation is so pivotal, we need to look deeper at Aries itself. As the very first sign of the zodiac, Aries is the cosmic spark — pure life force. Cardinal fire, ruled by Mars, Aries carries the instinct to initiate, to be first, to declare “I am.” It is courage in action, the pioneer who charges into the unknown simply because the path is calling. At its highest, Aries teaches us bravery, authenticity, and the power of starting fresh. But this raw fire is also untamed. In shadow, Aries can burn hot and fast — showing up as impatience, recklessness, frustration, or explosive anger. It can confuse impulsivity with courage, or self-focus with selfishness.
And that’s where shadow work comes in. Shadow work is the practice of uncovering the hidden or disowned parts of ourselves — the traits, emotions, or patterns we push aside because they feel too uncomfortable. By bringing them into awareness, we take back our power and release what no longer serves us. This Aries Full Moon is the perfect moment to begin this work. With Mars, Aries’ ruler, currently at home in Scorpio — strategic, fearless, and unafraid of depth — the cosmos asks us to dig, to cut through illusions, and to confront our truths with both honesty and courage.
This Full Moon is not simply asking for release — it’s demanding honesty. With the cosmic spotlight on Aries, the question becomes: Who are you, really? Over the last six months, you’ve likely faced moments where illusions cracked and truths surfaced. Saturn has been showing us where discipline, accountability, and structure are required. Neptune has been dissolving false stories about who we thought we were, or who we thought we had to be. Mercury now joins Mars in Scorpio, sharpening our perception and giving us words for truths we once buried. And Mars, strong in its own domain, strengthens our ability to cut through the noise and act with purpose.
This is not about impulsive reactions or fiery outbursts — this is about clarity, intention, and the courage to face what lies beneath. The energy asks us to peel away masks and step into raw authenticity. When identity is tangled in old stories, expectations, or roles that no longer fit, we become restless, reactive, and disconnected from our true power. Shadow work under this Full Moon invites us to ask:
Who am I beneath the masks?
Where have I abandoned myself to be accepted?
This is the first shadow we must face: the shadow of identity.
Shadow of Identity: Who Am I?
The Shadow
Over the last six months, the part of your life tied to independence, self-definition, and courage has been under pressure. The eclipses that closed earlier this year pulled back the curtain on how you see yourself and how you show up in relationships. You may have been confronted with truths about where you’ve been too self-sacrificing, too dependent on others for validation, or too reactive in protecting your independence. The changes of the past months have been preparing you for a longer chapter unfolding — one that demands more honesty about who you are and how you live that truth every day.
The Work
This lunation is asking you to peel away those masks. With strong forces pushing us to get real — one dissolving the illusions we’ve carried, the other grounding us with reality checks and boundaries — there is no hiding here. Shadow work begins with simple but difficult questions:
Who am I when I stop performing?
What part of me have I silenced to be loved?
Where have I lost myself to keep the peace?
Write your answers honestly. Don’t filter them. Then take time to notice the patterns: Do you define yourself only by what you do for others? Do you hesitate to name what you need because you’re afraid it will push people away? This is the excavation process — not to judge yourself, but to bring these hidden truths into the light.
The Release
When the shadow of identity is acknowledged, it loses its grip. Releasing yourself here doesn’t mean cutting ties with everyone or walking away from responsibility — it means remembering that your essence is not defined by what others see, need, or expect. When you strip away the masks, what remains is a grounded authenticity, a confidence that cannot be shaken by outside approval. This is the true gift of this Full Moon: the courage to declare “I am” with clarity and strength, while also learning how to bring that self into relationships without losing it. The outcome is balance — independence without isolation, connection without self-betrayal.
Shadow of Anger: Where Is My Fire Trapped?
The Shadow
Over the last six months, your fire may have been tested more than usual. The eclipses and planetary shifts have stirred what’s been buried, and it’s no surprise if anger has bubbled to the surface in unexpected ways. Some of it may have erupted outward — sharp, explosive, or reactive — while other times it may have turned inward, simmering as frustration, resentment, or self-criticism. Neptune’s influence has blurred the lines of what’s real, leaving confusion about who or what sparked these feelings. Saturn has added pressure, highlighting limits, responsibilities, and where your fire has been constrained. The tension of the Aries–Libra axis makes it even more complicated: do you suppress your anger to maintain connection, or do you assert it and risk discord? Both extremes reveal the shadow: unexpressed or misdirected energy that keeps you from your full power.
The Work
This Full Moon offers a rare opportunity to meet anger with honesty, insight, and strategy. Mars in Scorpio strengthens your ability to confront your fire without being consumed by it — to act with precision, depth, and purpose. Mercury in Scorpio sharpens perception, helping you trace your anger to its roots rather than reacting to surface triggers. Shadow work here begins by asking:
Where is my anger really coming from?
Where has illusion or avoidance distorted my perception of what’s wrong?
Where have boundaries been crossed, ignored, or unspoken?
Write freely, breathe into the tension, and move the energy through your body — whether through motion, voice, or intentional release. Use Saturn’s influence to create structure around your action: choose where, when, and how your fire is expressed. This is not about lashing out; it is about aligning your anger with truth, integrity, and empowered action.
The Release
When confronted fully, anger transforms. Neptune’s dissolving fog lifts, revealing clarity about what truly matters. Saturn’s lessons show you where to set boundaries firmly and with integrity. Mars in Scorpio turns the energy into a force for change, empowering decisive action and precise, deliberate steps forward. Instead of reactive outbursts or suppressed resentment, your fire becomes creative and constructive — a guide that helps you speak your truth, protect yourself, and move forward with intention. The result is emotional liberation: clarity, courage, and a deeper connection to both your inner strength and your relationships.
Shadow of Independence: Where Do I Lose Myself?
The Shadow
Over the last six months, you may have felt a tug-of-war between asserting yourself and maintaining harmony with others. The eclipses and planetary shifts brought clarity on where you’ve been giving too much of yourself, and where you may have hidden or dimmed your voice to avoid conflict. Neptune’s influence has sometimes blurred these dynamics, leaving you unsure about where your responsibilities end and where someone else’s begin. Saturn has pressed you to see the reality — to recognize limits, obligations, and the hard truths about which relationships are nourishing versus draining.
In the shadow, this tension can manifest in two ways: over-accommodation, losing sight of your needs, or hyper-independence, isolating yourself to protect what feels fragile. Both extremes drain energy, distort perspective, and keep you from fully experiencing the power of authentic connection.
The Work
This Full Moon asks you to trace these patterns with courage and honesty. Mars in Scorpio gives you the strength to act decisively where boundaries are needed. Mercury in Scorpio brings insight, helping you see when fear, guilt, or old stories are driving your choices. Shadow work here begins with asking:
Where have I lost myself to please others?
Where have I pulled back too far to protect myself?
Notice how Neptune may have created illusions of what connection “should” look like, and allow Saturn’s grounding presence to help you discern the real dynamics. Set clear intentions and, if necessary, firm boundaries — but do so from a place of empowered choice, not fear or reaction.
The Release
When this shadow is faced and integrated, you reclaim the freedom to balance self and other. Mars in Scorpio turns energy into decisive action, Neptune helps dissolve old patterns of illusion or codependency, and Saturn reinforces integrity and limits. The result is a deeper sense of connection without losing yourself, independence without isolation. You learn to engage with others authentically while standing firmly in your truth, creating relationships and interactions that honor both your power and your needs. The outcome is freedom, clarity, and harmony — a conscious, balanced dance between “I” and “we.”
Claiming Your Power
This Aries Full Moon ignites the spark of selfhood within you. The eclipses of the past six months, along with Saturn’s grounding lessons and Neptune’s dissolving influence, have been preparing you to confront your truths and step into your power. Mars, strong in Scorpio, fuels your courage and precision, while Mercury in Scorpio gives you insight into what has been buried or avoided. This is a Full Moon that demands honesty, action, and self-recognition — it asks:
Who am I when I stand fully in my own fire?
Aries energy is the spark of initiation, the raw “I am” that declares life itself. It does not wait for permission, and it does not shrink in the face of challenge. Under this Full Moon, that energy is fully awakened: a call to ignite your inner fire, face your shadows, and take bold, intentional steps toward authenticity. This is the fire of identity reclaimed, of anger transformed into motivation, of independence balanced with connection. It is raw, brave, and unapologetic — the pioneering spirit that Aries embodies.
Across the three shadow themes — identity, anger, and independence — the lessons converge: the fire within you wants to be seen, expressed, and aligned with your truth. The shadow of identity asks you to strip away masks and claim who you really are. The shadow of anger asks you to transform frustration and suppressed fire into purposeful action. The shadow of independence asks you to stand in your power without losing sight of your relationships and responsibilities.
This Full Moon is not gentle — it is a call to courage, a fire that demands you act, speak, and claim your space. Release what holds you back, cut away illusions, and let the fire of your authentic self blaze. In doing so, you align with the true essence of Aries: bold, independent, inventive, and alive with life’s potential.
Ask yourself: What am I ready to release so that I can fully embody my power, ignite my fire, and move forward without compromise? Let this Full Moon guide you into the bravery of your own light, into conscious action, and into the freedom of living fully as your true self.
Stand tall, breathe deeply, and let this Aries Full Moon guide you into a life lived fiercely, freely, and fully as your true self.
Love, Light, Much Gratitude ♥️
