Full Moon in Aries: The Wall We Can Finally See
September 26, 2026, Aries Full Moon 3°36'

“The impediment to action advances action. What stands in the way becomes the way.” ~ Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
On September 26 at 3°36′, the Full Moon in Aries breaks through the heavy fatigue of eclipse season with a call to action. Even if we are completely exhausted, the urge to get moving again may be hard to ignore. We want momentum. We want to choose a direction and move. Yet beneath that impulse there may also be a subtle hesitation, a feeling that we have been down this road before and don't want to find ourselves back at square one. This Full Moon isn't measuring how quickly we can move forward; it's asking us to notice what we may have overlooked along the way. Something is coming into view, offering us a second chance to see what we missed the first time.
When the Light Reaches Its Peak
We often associate Full Moons with release, but that isn't quite where the story begins. A Full Moon is first a moment of illumination, when something that has been developing becomes easier to see. We may recognize progress we haven't stopped long enough to acknowledge, become aware of something we have been carrying or finally understand what has been sitting just outside our awareness. This is why Full Moons can bring celebration just as easily as they can reveal something uncomfortable. The light isn't telling us what to do; it is allowing us to see more of what is already there.
Release comes after the Moon reaches its peak and begins losing light. First we see, and then we decide what we want to do with what has been revealed. That distinction matters under this Full Moon because Aries may want to respond the moment something becomes visible. Sometimes seeing clearly is enough for now.
I Just Need to Do Something
Aries is the first sign of the zodiac, the beginning of a new cycle and the spark that gets things moving. Represented by the Ram and the warrior, Aries carries courage, independence and a willingness to step forward before every detail has been figured out. As a cardinal fire sign, it wants to initiate, create movement and trust instinct enough to take the first step. Aries reminds us that eventually we have to stop thinking about beginning and actually begin.
That same fire can become impatient. The Ram doesn't particularly enjoy standing still once it has decided where it wants to go, and obstacles can quickly become frustrating. Sometimes we act because something genuinely feels right; other times we act because doing something feels better than waiting. After the intensity of the last month, that feeling may be especially strong. We are tired of processing, tired of uncertainty and ready to feel as though our lives are moving again.
Across from Aries the Sun sits Libra, bringing another part of the conversation into view. Aries asks what I want, while Libra reminds us to consider what we need. Somewhere between the two, we are learning how to honour our own direction without forgetting the people around us, and how to care about others without continually abandoning ourselves. This Full Moon can show us where that balance has shifted too far in either direction. We may have spent so much time keeping the peace that we have lost sight of what we want, or become so determined to move forward that we haven't noticed what our choices are asking of those around us.
Six Months Later
The story of this Full Moon began six months ago with the Aries New Moon and our exploration of Self-Trust. At that time, we were anchoring a larger vision without knowing exactly how everything would unfold. We didn't need to see the entire staircase before taking the first step. The message was simple: You set the direction. You take the action. You stay with it. We trusted ourselves enough to begin and allowed experience to teach us the rest.
Now we return to Aries with six months of that experience behind us. Before looking at what still needs our attention, this Full Moon gives us an opportunity to recognize what those months have created. What exists today because you were willing to begin? What did you follow through on? What became easier, stronger or clearer along the way? We can become so focused on where we are going that we forget to turn around and acknowledge the distance we have already travelled.
Not everything will have unfolded the way we imagined, and that belongs in the story too. Plans change when they meet everyday life. Something we thought would be simple can require far more from us, while something we worried about can unfold more naturally than expected. Even the things that didn't work gave us information we couldn't have gained without trying. We aren't back where we started simply because there is still work ahead. We are standing here with six months of experience we didn't have when we chose the direction.
When the Energy Doesn't Match the Desire
Here is where the desire to move meets a very different reality. Aries wants to go, but Mars, the ruler of this Full Moon, has reached 29° Cancer and is tired. We can feel movement calling us before our energy has caught up with it. One part of us is saying, Let's go, while another is quietly admitting, I don't know how much more I have to give.
Some of that exhaustion may have less to do with where we are going and more to do with everything we have been carrying while trying to get there. We can become tired of being the person who keeps everything going, protecting something because we don't know what will happen if we stop, or fighting for something we still care about while knowing we can't keep fighting for it in the same way. We can spend so much energy responding to what everyone else needs that we don't notice how depleted we have become until there is very little left for ourselves.
The relationship side of this Full Moon carries some tension as well. Venus, who guides Libra, is moving through Scorpio, a Mars-ruled sign where keeping everything pleasant and balanced isn't quite so easy. Sometimes harmony requires an honest look at what isn't working rather than another attempt to smooth it over. Between what we want, what we care about and what we have felt responsible for carrying, we may begin to understand where so much of our energy has gone.
When the Fog Begins to Lift
The Moon has just moved past Neptune as it reaches fullness, and some of the uncertainty surrounding the road we have been travelling begins to clear. We may not have every answer yet, but we can see enough to recognize what wasn't visible before. Something may have been missed, unfinished or never fully dealt with, and now that the fog is beginning to lift, we can finally see it. This doesn't mean everything coming into view is difficult. Support is here too, reminding us that seeing things differently can reveal possibilities that were just as hidden as the problems.
Uranus and Pluto are both working with the Moon through supportive connections, bringing opportunities for change as our perspective clears. Uranus encourages us to consider something different rather than automatically returning to what we have always done, while Pluto helps us recognize what has changed within us and where we may have more strength than we realize. We have been down this road before, but we are not the same people walking it this time. What once felt like the only option may no longer be the only option available to us.
The Moon is moving toward Saturn, the planet associated with boundaries, limitations, responsibility and delays. Saturn is where reality asks us to slow down and deal with what cannot simply be pushed aside, which is why the image of a wall fits so naturally here. As the fog clears, we begin to see that wall farther down the road. We haven't reached it yet, but we recognize it. Saturn is retrograde, reinforcing the feeling that this isn't entirely new territory. Something is being brought back into view, not necessarily to stop us, but to give us another opportunity to understand what we missed the first time.
The Wall We Can Finally See
There may be an immediate frustration when we recognize the wall. We thought we had already dealt with this. We believed we had moved beyond it, or at least hoped that choosing a different direction meant we wouldn't have to face it again. When we are already tired, the last thing we want is another reminder of something we thought was behind us.
But seeing the same wall doesn't mean we are back at square one. We are approaching it with more experience, more information and a clearer understanding of ourselves than we had before. More importantly, we can see it before we reach it. That gives us time to look at what happened the last time. Did we overlook something important? Did we keep pushing because stopping felt like failure? Did we recognize that something wasn't working but continue hoping it would eventually sort itself out?
We don't need to answer those questions immediately. The value may be in resisting the urge to respond the way we always have. Instead of gathering whatever energy we have left and charging toward the wall, we can pay attention to what this familiar situation is showing us. This time may require greater patience, stronger boundaries, more structure or a more realistic understanding of what we have the capacity to give. Seeing the wall sooner gives us the opportunity to approach it differently.
What Deserves Your Fire?
Once the Full Moon reaches its peak, the Moon begins losing light and the cycle turns toward release. We have looked back at how far we have come, recognized how tired we may be and seen something ahead that wasn't completely visible before. Now we can ask what doesn't need to travel any farther with us.
We can keep the vision while releasing the timeline, remain committed to where we are going while acknowledging that the way we have been getting there isn't working, or put down a battle that has already taken enough from us. We can loosen our grip on how something was supposed to happen and reconsider responsibilities we have continued carrying simply because we always have. Six months of experience is allowed to change how we move forward. It is also allowed to change what we want.
Mars moves into Leo the following day, entering a fire sign where his natural drive and desire for action can begin to return. In the days that follow, some of the exhaustion we have been feeling may start to shift as motivation begins to build again. That makes the release under this Full Moon even more important. We don't need to force ourselves into action while we are still tired; we can pay attention to what has been draining our energy and what we no longer want to keep feeding. The fire is coming back. The question is where we want to direct it when it does.
A Second Chance to See
At the beginning of this Full Moon, we may have felt that familiar urge to get moving again while another part of us hesitated, afraid that moving forward would somehow bring us right back to where we started. Now we can see that isn't what is happening. We aren't back at square one. We have six months of experience behind us, a clearer view of what lies ahead and an opportunity to notice what we missed along the way. The wall may be familiar, but we are seeing it sooner this time, and that alone gives us the chance to respond differently.
Maybe that is the second chance this Full Moon in Aries is offering us. Not another opportunity to get everything right, but the chance to see more clearly before we move. We can celebrate how far we have come, acknowledge how tired we are and allow ourselves to put down what has already taken enough of our energy. We don't need to rush simply because the fire is beginning to return. We can choose where we want to direct it. Release what no longer deserves your energy, because you're going to need that fire for what comes next.
Love, Light, Much Gratitude ♥️
