Welcome
Life moves fast.
We scroll through other people's lives, consume more information than we could ever process, and are constantly being told what we should do, who we should be, what we should want, and how we should feel. There is always another video to watch, another opinion to consider, another answer waiting for us somewhere outside of ourselves. Somewhere in all of that noise, we forget to stop and think about our own lives.
We keep looking outward, trying to manage, fix and control what we can, without noticing how far our attention has moved away from ourselves. Energy Waves is a place to slow down and turn some of that attention back toward yourself. My writing explores the relationship we have with ourselves, how we move through the experiences that shape us, and what we can learn when we become curious about our own lives. Alongside that writing, I create guided workbooks filled with reflections, journal questions and activities that offer a way to take what you're reading beyond the page and explore what it means for you.
As above, so below. The natural cycles around us can offer a different way of looking at the cycles within our own lives. They can give us a reason to pause, ask different questions, notice what is changing, and consider what we may be ready to begin, continue, adjust or let go. What is happening around us can become an invitation to pay closer attention to what is happening within us.
I don't want Energy Waves to become another piece of content you quickly consume before scrolling to the next thing. I want to invite you to stay for a while. Read something all the way through. Think about what it brings up for you. Write, question, try an activity, or simply sit with an idea before deciding what it means for your life. Take what speaks to you and leave what doesn't, because the most important thing you discover here may not be something I've written at all. It may be something you discover about yourself.
Life doesn't have to go according to plan to be worth celebrating.
Love, Light & Much Gratitude ❤️

Meet Pamela
I didn't find my way here because I had a plan. I found my way here because the plan I had stopped working.
For almost twenty years, I worked in the corporate world and built a career I genuinely loved. Eventually, I reached a point where I knew something had to change, even though I had no idea what came next. Leaving wasn't a brave leap toward a new life, and it isn't something I believe anyone needs to do to reconnect with themselves. At the time, it was simply the only way forward I could see.
The years that followed took me inward. Life continued to happen, including things I couldn't change, fix or control, and I had to begin looking at myself differently. I've always had a need to understand things deeply, and once I started asking questions, I didn't stop. I studied healing, energy, meditation, astrology and personal development, but the deeper I went, the more the questions became less about what I could learn and more about what I could understand about myself.
I didn't like the person I had become, and some of what I discovered about myself was uncomfortable. I began recognizing old patterns and questioning things I had believed for years. I saw how often I had given away my own power, how little I understood about boundaries, and how much of my energy had gone into trying to control what was happening around me. But not everything I discovered was something that needed to be fixed. I also began to see the parts of myself I had spent years dismissing — my heart, my strength, my curiosity and the way I genuinely care about people. For a long time, when someone saw something beautiful in me, I assumed they wanted something from me. It has taken me much longer to believe that some of what they saw was simply true.
Most importantly, I began to understand that reconnecting with myself wasn't about becoming a different person. It was about getting curious enough to understand the person I already was. I can look back now with much more compassion for who I was, while also being honest about the things I needed to change. And today, I can finally say something I couldn't have said then: I genuinely love the person I am.
Energy Waves grew from that curiosity. It is where I share what I'm learning, questioning and discovering through my writing and the work I create. I don't share because I have life figured out. I share because I've learned how powerful it can be to stop long enough to look at our own lives, question what we think we know, and listen to ourselves instead of constantly searching outside of ourselves for the answer.
I'm still figuring out where all of this is leading. Just when I think I know, shit happens and life takes me down another path. I still go deep, ask a lot of questions and occasionally obsess over something until I understand it. I'm learning to trust what I know today, stay curious about what I don't, and leave room for what I haven't discovered yet.
Look inward with curiosity. When we see the beauty already within us, we begin living the life we are meant to live.

Come Explore
There is no right place to begin. Read what catches your attention, follow a question that has been sitting with you, or spend some time exploring something you hadn't considered before. Stay for one article or come back and work through an entire cycle. Explore at your own pace.
The Blog
Sometimes all it takes is one thought that makes us stop and look at something differently.
My blog is where I write about life, the questions I'm asking, what I'm learning, and the natural cycles unfolding around us. The sky may provide the undercurrent, but the stories are about being human — the things we carry, the choices we make, what changes, what doesn't, and what we discover about ourselves along the way.
Return to Yourself
For those who want to go a little deeper, Return to Yourself is a twelve-cycle journey that begins with each New Moon and follows the lunar cycle for the next 29 days. Each New Moon introduces a new theme to explore through four essays and a guided workbook filled with reflections, journal questions and activities.
Start with the current New Moon, go back to the beginning, or choose a cycle that speaks to where you are today. This is your space. Trust yourself. You know where to begin. Take your time, follow the Moon, and see what you discover about yourself along the way.

Morning Whispers
Not every thought becomes a blog.
A few times a week, I share pieces from my journal that I call Morning Whispers — thoughts, observations and little things that have made me stop and think. Sometimes they're accompanied by an image, sometimes they connect to something I'm exploring more deeply, and sometimes they're simply what was on my mind that morning.
I also share new writing, current New Moon cycles and other pieces from Pamela Yakelashek on Facebook. If you'd like to stay connected between visits here, that's where you'll find me most often.
