A New Chapter Begins: Moving Through Eclipse Season

Change is in the air

“Growth doesn’t always arrive as a breakthrough. Sometimes it arrives as a quiet life you no longer recognize — because you’ve outgrown the old one.

Many people are focusing on this New Moon as the Chinese New Year and the beginning of the Year of the Fire Horse — a symbol of movement, momentum, and new beginnings. I feel that too. I’ve always loved the Chinese New Year because it marks a turning point — a shift in energy — and naturally, I find myself wondering how that shift will move through my own life.

But this year carries even more weight.

This New Moon is not only a new Chinese Year — it is also a Solar Eclipse on February 17, and this Solar Eclipses begins a new chapter that will unfold over the next couple of years. Eclipses mark turning points in specific areas of life, often setting change into motion before we fully understand what it will become.

The Virgo-Pisces eclipse series runs from September 2024 through February 2027, focusing on themes of healing, order, and spiritual balance.

The current eclipse series has unfolded as a profound reorientation between my personal world and the collective spaces I move within. The shifts did not begin suddenly — they began with a relocation that quietly changed everything. For me, the eclipse season isn’t an abstract idea. It has been unfolding in very real, very human ways — through change, adjustment, and learning how to begin again.

Over the past year and a half, life has quietly reshaped my sense of home, community, and direction. In May 2024, we left the city and moved into a small, unique community surrounded by nature. The transition wasn’t easy. Moving, adapting, and rebuilding routines required energy and emotional adjustment. Life slowed down. Familiar structures disappeared. Many friendships naturally faded with distance.

Starting over — even when the change is chosen — is not simple.

There is grief in leaving what was familiar. There is uncertainty in building something new. There are moments of wondering where you fit, who your people are now, and what direction you’re truly moving toward.

And yet, something beautiful has been growing in that space.

Being surrounded by nature brought a deep sense of peace I didn’t realize I needed. It also reawakened my creativity — slowly, gently, like something returning after a long rest. New connections are forming. I feel more authentic, more aligned with who I am becoming… even if I’m still learning how to fully express this version of myself.

This is what eclipse season often feels like — not sudden transformation, but gradual reorganization. A quiet restructuring of identity, belonging, and long-term direction.

My home has changed.

My community has changing.

My creative life is evolving.

My future path is still forming.

I’m building a new career that feels more aligned with my truth, but it’s unfolding slowly. Visibility feels vulnerable. Being seen in a new way takes courage. Growth doesn’t always look like progress on the outside — sometimes it looks like deep internal adjustment.

And now, with the February 17 solar eclipse, a new chapter officially begins and continues to January 2028. I don’t know exactly what will unfold — eclipses rarely reveal their full story immediately — but I do know the area of life being activated. That awareness helps me move forward with intention rather than resistance.

What’s important to remember is that this story is not finished; Even though another is beginning.

The Lunar Eclipse on March 3 continues this cycle. Eclipse season unfolds in stages, revealing layer after layer over time. What begins now will keep developing, shifting, and clarifying in the months ahead.

Real change takes time.

Real growth takes patience.

Realignment often asks us to release what once felt permanent.

If you are navigating life transitions — moving, drifting apart from old friendships, rebuilding your sense of direction, or feeling like you are quietly starting over — you are not alone. These phases are rarely comfortable, but they are often deeply meaningful.

Sometimes we don’t get immediate clarity.

Sometimes we only know that something is shifting — and that we are being asked to grow with it.

If you’re curious about what this eclipse season may be activating in your own life — what themes are unfolding, or where change is beginning — I’d love to help you explore that. Understanding the area of life being reshaped can bring grounding, perspective, and a sense of direction during uncertain times.

Because while eclipses may begin new chapters…we are still the ones who choose how to walk through them.
